David Cains – Chairman of the Board
David has been involved in credit management since 1975 and has managed the introduction of billing and collection programs for a number of different industries.
He has been an integral part of the development of the credit and credit services industry. His experience includes time as National President of the Institute of Mercantile Agents, President of the Australian Collectors Association and Industry Spokesperson before the state and federal governments.
Since 1988 he has been the industry representative for the Federal Privacy Consultative Committee. He is also the industry representative for ASIC, ACCC and Credit Code.
Through his involvement with the Institute of Mercantile Agents, David has developed training programs for the debt collection industry and was instrumental in developing the Professional Practice Management Quality System (PPMS) for the debt collection industry in Australia and New Zealand.
David is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Banking and Finance, Australian Institute of Credit Management, Australian Institute of Management, and a Member of the National Society of Accountants and Company Directors Association.
Peter McDonald – Managing Director
Peter McDonald has extensive experience in the credit management and finance industries and brings a wealth of experience to his role as Managing Director.
With an entrepreneurial spirit and vision, Peter has developed and guided The ARMS Global Group to where it is today, one of the largest privately owned collections agency in Australia.
Working closely with ARMS’ clients, Peter has developed a distinctive approach designed to deliver highly effective credit management and debt collection solutions. His commercial experience and business nous has led him to develop a firm with comprehensive expertise in all areas of credit management and debt collection. This has allowed The ARMS Global Group to deliver significant collection results to their clients.
As well as Managing Director, Peter is responsible for the firm’s technology and for developing a number of collections and compliance systems.
Peter has a keen interest in a number of charities and acts as the company’s liaison for various charitable events, including the ARMS Global Autism Conference and the ARMS Global International Golf Day.
Tom Torpy – Director
With close to 20 years collections and legal experience, Tom has the knowledge and expertise to assist ARMS' clients in all legal facets of the credit management cycle.
Prior to joining ARMS, Tom worked for the Melbourne Magistrate Court as the Deputy Registrar. In this role he administrated all civil legal actions including all debt collection matters. Tom’s role at the Magistrate’s Court, combined with his role at ARMS, has given him a practical working knowledge of the civil legal system from both the users and administrators perspectives.
Kynan Sadlo - Head of Collections
Kynan has extensive experience in strategic credit risk, profit and loss improvements and integrating financial service operations into business practices. Prior to his appointment with ARMS, Kynan has held management roles within the insurance and finance industries.
Kynan’s expertise is demonstrated through his management of business change, process coordination of high volume operations and in developing current and new business partnerships to drive profitable growth. From our head office in Brisbane, Kynan is responsible for development and management of effective and sustainable receivables management processes of all national operational sites, in addition to ensuring recovery activities comply with regulatory standards.
Throughout Kynan’s career he has dedicated his expertise to leading and developing teams, designing and implementing effective collection strategies and the successful management of performance outcomes aligned to the corporate business plan. Kynan is also a member and actively involved with the AICM and IMA.
Myles Stanley - Group General Manager - Finance
Myles Stanley has extensive experience as Financial Controller for a number of large commercial and medical companies. With over 30 years in the industry he has extensive experience in financial planning and analysis as well as audit, financial reporting and quality systems.
Myles is a Fellow of the Australian Society of CPA’s and for a number of years has served in a voluntary capacity on the State Finance Committee and the State Executive of the Queensland Branch of the Scout Association of Australia. He served for a number of years as Financial Controller to one of Queensland’s largest healthcare providers overseeing annual revenues in excess of $190M.
Marcus Stephen - National Sales Manager
Marcus Stephen is an experienced Sales and Marketing executive within the receivables management industry. With over 10 years experience in both sales and operations, Marcus’ expertise extends to providing clients with strategic recovery solutions for their business.
As the National Sales Manager, Marcus’ priorities are to provide leadership and management of the sales team, focus on identifying opportunities within the national market and to build mutually beneficial partnerships with industry leaders within the credit management sector.
Michelle Dritmanis: Business Development Manager Australia/ New Zealand
As a Development Manager with over 20 years extensive commercial experience in high profile organisations, Michelle Dritmanis has a proven track record of growth results through strategic brand positioning.
Michelle has strong networking skills and has extensive experience in developing targeted Partnership Plans designed to ensure client loyalty, retention and developing potential for further business opportunities.
Having worked with both Travelex Limited and American Express Michelle has extensive experience developing high profile pipelines of customers in key global markets. She is experienced in co-ordinating contractual negotiations, identifying and documenting competitive offerings, and maintaining and growing business by managing accounts within a defined portfolio of accounts by using TAS (Targeted Account Selling) methodology.
